About FB-LINK Optical Module Factory Since 2012

FB-LINK has manufactured optical transceivers in Shenzhen since 2012. Our 1,600 m² cleanroom facility produces modules from 1G SFP to 800G OSFP, alongside DCI OTN platforms, DWDM/CWDM multiplexing equipment, and fiber optic patch cords.

Every transceiver undergoes optical power testing, eye-diagram analysis, and temperature cycling before leaving the factory. With 65+ patents, 90+ software copyrights, and certifications including ISO 9001 (SGS and ISA), ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, our quality system supports bulk orders for telecom carriers and data center operators across 50+ countries.

FB-LINK also operates an R&D center in Wuhan focused on silicon photonics and coherent transmission. In 2021, we developed the 400G QSFP-DD DR4 silicon photonics transceiver, and our DCI BOX subsystem (1U supports 1.6T, 2U supports 3.2T) is now deployed in overseas data center interconnect projects.

Optical Line Protection (OLP) for DWDM Network Redundancy

FB-LINK OLP modules provide automatic failover switching for DWDM transport links. The OLP 1+1 configuration sends identical signals on both working and protection fibers simultaneously, switching within 20 ms when a line fault is detected. The 1:1 variant reserves the protection path for backup use, freeing it for low-priority traffic under normal conditions. Both models are card-based and install directly into FB-LINK's 1U, 2U, or 5U DWDM frames.

Frequently Asked Questions About FB-LINK Optical Transceivers

Are FB-LINK optical transceivers compatible with Cisco, Huawei, and Juniper switches?

+

-

Yes. Every FB-LINK transceiver is manufactured to MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) standards and programmed with vendor-specific coding during production. We support compatibility with Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, Arista, HP, Dell, and 100+ other networking platforms. If you need coding for a specific switch model, our engineering team can verify compatibility before order confirmation.

What is the typical lead time for bulk optical module orders?

+

-

Standard catalog products (such as 100G QSFP28 SR4, LR4, and 400G QSFP-DD DR4) ship within 3–7 working days. Custom OEM or ODM orders — including private labeling, non-standard wavelengths, or industrial-temperature variants — typically require 2–4 weeks depending on specification complexity and order volume.

Does FB-LINK offer OEM and ODM services for optical transceivers?

+

-

Yes. Our OEM services include custom EEPROM coding, private-label printing on module housings, and branded packaging. ODM services cover custom optical specifications such as extended reach beyond MSA standards, specific DWDM/CWDM wavelength channels, and industrial operating temperature ranges (-40°C to 85°C). We accept sample orders for evaluation before committing to volume production.

What quality testing does each transceiver undergo before shipment?

+

-

Every FB-LINK optical module passes a multi-stage quality control process in our ISO 9001-certified facility: optical power and sensitivity measurement, extinction ratio verification, eye-diagram analysis, bit error rate (BER) testing, and temperature cycling. Test reports are available per batch or per individual serial number upon request.

What certifications do FB-LINK products hold?

+

-

Our products hold CE marking, RoHS compliance, and SGS certification for international markets. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 (audited by both SGS and ISA). The manufacturing facility also holds ISO 14001 (environmental) and ISO 45001 (occupational safety) certifications. In China, we have obtained the Telecom Equipment Access License from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for FB-LINK optical modules?

+

-

There is no fixed MOQ for standard catalog transceivers — we accept orders from single evaluation samples to volume production runs. For custom OEM/ODM projects with specific coding, labeling, or optical specifications, the typical starting quantity is 100 units, though this varies based on complexity. Contact our sales team for a quotation on your specific requirements.

Which industries and applications do FB-LINK products serve?

+

-

FB-LINK optical transceivers, DCI platforms, and DWDM equipment are used in data center interconnect, 5G telecom backhaul, enterprise campus networking, FTTX broadband access, cloud computing infrastructure, and high-performance computing environments. Our customer base includes telecom carriers, ISPs, data center operators, system integrators, and IT resellers worldwide.
